Where did June go?

Hello Dear Friends!

Is your summer going as fast as mine?  I have posted so many blogs in my head since the last one, but unfortunately, they never made it to the computer!  What a busy month it has been!  It seems like each week was busier than the one before. So, to catch up with my blogging, I am going to "Speed Blog" (like speed dating without the discomfort) and post them all at once....... really fast.  Enjoy!

Our youngest son graduated...We are so proud of him!
Off to Ohio State!

Katie and I flew out to California for a college internship visit.
Ahhhhh.....palm trees!

And wonderful, beautiful food!

Yes, that is the Hollywood sign!

Our little twin grandsons turned two!
What a party we had to celebrate!

Earlier, this year, Yoder's Department Store in Shipshewana, Indiana, invited me to create a panel fabric that would  celebrate their anniversary.  I was delighted!

Last month, they received the panel and invited employees to come up with
creative projects that incorporated the fabric. I was asked to visit and judge the winning project as well as  help  unveil their beautiful display.

It was incredible!  The projects that these talented ladies came up with were amazing!
There were quilts and tablerunners, bags and aprons.
How truly gratifying to see my designs on the
creations that Yoder's fabric artists came up with.

This is the winning quilt.  It was made by hand and had a little clothesline at the bottom, with quilt blocks clothes pinned to it.  Sooo creative!

Thank you, to all of the talented women who contributed to this wonderful day.
If you get a chance to visit Yoder's in Shipshewana, it is a rare treat!

Please stop by my blog later this week.
I'll be giving away two of the panels that I designed for Yoder's to someone visiting my blog!

Always,
Deb

  1. Guess I'll have to speed blog answer! Congratulations to all of your family members for their recent achievements. The food looked yummy (and made me want to go out and order Chinese). The creativity of the Shipshewana ladies was amazing! Even better when you click on the pictures and see the quilts up close. Thank you so much for sharing.
