Christmas in June/July!

Hello Dear Friends,

Hope your summer is going well!

We just had a wonderful event here at
the Strain household.

Scott and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary
by going on a "Once in a Lifetime" trip!
We visited Turkey,Greece and Italy
and saw some amazing places.

The Amalfi coast of Italy was breathtaking!

Santorini, Greece was one of the most
beautiful places that we have been...

While we were gone, something else really exciting
happened...
My new Christmas line from Moda
was delivered to your favorite
Quilt Store!
I am so pleased with
"Christmas Countdown."
The colors are rich, traditional red, greens
and whites.
The panel is actually an advent
calendar, with each block numbering
the days until Christmas!

I really can't decide which colorway
I like the best...I like them all!

Patterns include ornaments, snowflakes and holiday
polka  dots and damask.

And the pre-cuts are wonderful.
Moda always does such a good job with
these.

Now, for a little contest!
Leave me a  comment telling me which
colorway that you like best for
the panel
and one person will win that panel!
You have until Sunday, July 14th
at 6:00pm to enter.
Please make sure that you leave me
an e-mail address where I can
reach you if you win.

Wishing you happy moments to
celebrate this summer too!
Always,
Deb

  1. Deb, it was wonderful to meet you at "the Engine House Quilt Shop" on Tues. I called some friends on my way home and told them all about you.....they know my passion for sewing, so they listened, and listened and listened.

Also when I got home I looked through my stash and projects I've done only to realize that I am the owner of lot's of your fabric. I have one piece though that I wondered what the coordinates are, that go with it and the panel says Dream. With a big D. Inspire and A big butterfly. The colors are a teal blue I liked it, got it now wonder what goes with it and what to do with it.

By the way in the new Christmas line I like the cream background the best

  2. Happy Anniversary! I can't decide which colorway I like best, but if I had to choose, I think it would be the black. The black really makes the colors stand out. Thanks for the giveaway! :0)

I have always loved your fabric and I got to meet you in Houston...bought a ton of your fat quarters and I am still using them on small projects. My LQS just got your Christmas line. I love the Ivory background the best. It makes the tree just "pop" more than the others to me.

  15. What a wonderful way to acknowledge and celebrate 25 years together. I love the cream background the best, though I'd be happy with any of them. I'd make this for my grandchildren, and I'm not sure which my DIL would prefer, but she loves Christmas and the more traditional colors too, so I think any of them would make her happy.
