MODA LOVE BLOG TOUR TIME!

Hello Dear Friends!
Welcome to my day on the Moda Love Blog Tour!
I'm sharing the day
 with two wonderfully talented ladies,
Lynne of Kansas Troubles and
Be sure to
stop by their blogs today too!

If you have been following the tour, all of the Moda designers were asked to create their
own version of the Moda Love Layer Cake Quilt using their
newest fabric line.
My newest line is called "BE JOLLY"
and it is filled with frosty snowflakes,
whimsical snowmen and Scandinavian
patterns!

So, all of the designers used the same pattern, using
different, beautiful Moda fabric!
I LOVE seeing how different they all are!

You can download the free pattern here.

Being the novice that I am, I decided that a full quilt
was more than I could handle!  Tammy Vonderschmidtt, from Moda,
was kind enough to share her incredible talent with me
and create the beautiful quilt above using
BE JOLLY and the Moda Love Layer Cake Quilt Pattern.
Didn't she do a wonderful job?
Thank you, thank you Tammy!

Then, she must have been inspired, because she
created THIS fun, smaller quilt using the
Charm Pack version of the pattern
(also included in the free download!)

At Market, in May, the designers were asked to provide a
demonstration of a tip that we would like to share
with all of you....
I thought you might like to
see how I made these cute little
Quilt Labels using the snowmen from BE JOLLY.

You can see step-by-step instructions by
clicking on:

Also, if you would like to use the artwork in the video (and in the
picture above) we have provided that too!

Download artwork for your BE JOLLY labels here.

Since the theme for this Blog Tour is LOVE, the Moda designers
were asked to share a little about the things we LOVE.

Of all of the things that I LOVE, my family, like so many of us,
ranks highest.

With my little twin grandsons holding a special place!

I also LOVE that I am able to spend everyday painting, creating and
working with color.
I LOVE working with Moda...they are
all wonderful, creative, encouraging and positive people.
I LOVE seeing a fabric line develop.  My
favorite part of the design process is almost at the
end...when it is all coming together, the patterns
and values creating a colorful story!
I have LOVED quilts since I was a little
girl and would wrap up in my
Great Grandma's hand stitched quilt
to watch The Carol Burnett Show
on Saturday nights!

And now for the Giveaways!!!
Moda has been so generous to provide 2 wonderful prizes.
Leave a comment about what you love
and you could win.....

First prize....this Fat Quarter Stack of the
entire BE JOLLY line!
or...
Second prize....this Layer Cake of BE JOLLY
fabrics.

OH, I forgot to mention, I LOVE reading your comments
at the MODA blog hops too!
Always,
Deb

Be sure to visit all of the other Moda designers during the blog hop.
Each will show their quilt and have prizes to give away!

Asking me what I love never takes me long to answer. My husband is at the very top of my list. He is such an amazing man who daily totally spoils me and cares for me no matter what, even when he is sick. I am so very lucky that we found each other. Then, of course, my children and his own and then a very large part of my heart goes to all three of my adorable grandchildren. They are SO much fun. One of them, my youngest one, a granddaughter who is 2 yrs old lives here in our home with her parents currently. She's the light of my life daily. The first thing she does when she gets up is run to Grandma's sewing/computer/tv room with her adorable little bubbly attitude and says "HI" "Hi!" and then starts trying to grab fabric.
